Doing HM with a necro-3 warriors or 3 dervs?
As the title says, I'm trying HM with a necro http://www.pvxwiki.com/wiki/Build:N/...of_the_Vampire
^^ build.
Which is better 3 warriors or 3 dervs? I have the BMP so getting weps are no problem. Just trying out melees, I heard they are better than casters in HM.

Whoever told you this is an idiot, and niether, with super armor melee is worse than casters in HM, Armor ignoring damage is the best. Just run a Sabway.

Dervs are actually still powerful in HM actually so...you should try them with their OP weapons. I wouldn't even bother with any other kind of melee unless its using mark of pain or something.

Just run curses on your bar and opt out the curse hero necro for another hero of your choosing.

You have to think differently when considering heroes. Normally Warriors are good (as are all physicals), but the hero AI for them fails. If they're running around, they aren't hitting things, so thay aren't doing damage, so they're worthless. Find something better to take.

This.
Physicals can do a lot better damage then casters, however physical heroes have really bad AI, and cant' use skills like [Save yourselves!] or [aura of holy might]. However,heroes are extremely good at running builds such as sabway.

Despite what ANet tried to do with the new MOX hero, AI melee sucks bawls. If i was going to run 3 mele hero build, it would be derv though (lesser of the 2 evils) Stick with necroway
I would like to know the method behind the madness of the hero count though.
3 necros, 3 warriors, 3 monks, 3 dervs, 3 rangers, 3 ele, 2 mez, 2 para, 2 rit, 2 sin

I agree with the suggestion of Dervish, as far as the OP's question goes.
Providing you know there are better team builds around, I applaud you for even thinking about trying to use something different.

Id recommend paragons.
But out of Dervish and Warrior I'd go for Dervish as you can pile a bit more utility on Dervishes than you can warriors.

2 Paragons and one N/Rt or N/Mo.
N/mo in HM is better imo, bring some damage reducing skills on the paragons and dare i say it [song of restoration]

This is good if you are using 3 hero's granted there's not major enchantment removal or punishment for them. Switch out [Crippling Sweep] for [Wild Blow] on one Dervish so you have stance removal AND snaring and maybe put it another utility (Can;t think of one atm) for the other. You can switch out [Mystic Vigor] for something more damage oriented (perhaps against undead putting in a holy damage changing enchant) if you have no problem with them staying alive. [Mystic Vigor] Is just in there because I wanted a 3rd enchant for [Mystic Sweep]
I've been using 2 hero's and myself with these builds (3 dervs. Wanted 4 but my luck in norn tourny for getting khamu sucks royally for my derv) and it's pretty awesome damage. The hero's don;t even have rune's yet.

Lotus, your in the hero section so unless you want to hack guildwars to be able to put a pve skill on a hero it can't be done.
Either way, melee ai will suck but I guess if your a melee yourself then as long as you don't keep switching targets it could work.
Though I still think your going to want a rt/x or x/rt to put splinter weapon on the dervishes.

Usually the avatar lasts for about 5-6 groups, then recharges by the time you get to the next group...also hero's can't use PvE skills...you fail.

no, you fail. just because they cant use eternal aura dosnt mean they should be using avatars without it. does anyone remember how terrible avatars were before eternal aura? thats how bad they still are on heroes.

It works greatly, I almost NEVER see my dervs in a battle without lyssa up, and it's great for spiking mob healers nukers etc. The ONLY thing that happens when Lyssa is down is oops, no more GODLY damage to people activating skills. And the energy isnt a problem with zelous.
AoL works on Hero's Doesn't need eternal aura, Hell I use eternal aura but I almost NEVER need it anyways.
If you don't think so, then don't use it, not my loss.
